About WaterProsper™

Fighting the water crisis in Appalachia and beyond through knowledge harvested from the dedication of government, industry research, academia, visionaries, policy makers, and the engagement of youth.

Our Vision

WaterProsper’s™ vision emanated from stories shared by those living in the small communities scattered throughout the Appalachian mountains whose once-dependable safe well water turned toxic with streams intermittently flowing black, green, white, orange, brown, and red. Due to geography and economics, thousands of families affected by this severe contamination are not able to connect to municipal water systems, forced instead to choose between purchasing bottled water or to continue consuming the toxic well water.

WaterProsper™ has utilized independent laboratories to analyze water samples from numerous private wells and has also accessed prior testing results from many others. They are laced with toxic levels of one or more contaminants including known carcinogens such as arsenic, mercury, lead, and even PFAS and PCB’s.

Our Objectives

WaterProsper™ believes that safe drinking water is a human right. We are aware of the plight of countless numbers of disadvantaged citizens whose voices and concerns are often marginalized in local, state, and federal governments in their fight for clean water.

The objective of WaterProsper™ is to provide effective multi-stage filtering systems to Appalachian residents whose wells are contaminated with dangerous levels of chemicals and heavy metals. If they can not afford to purchase and install the filtering systems, WaterProsper™ will underwrite the entire expense of a WP filtration system.

Our Mission.

To provide clean water solutions to disadvantaged well owners in Appalachia and beyond whose water is contaminated and to create educational empowerment.

WaterProsper™ Uses All Funding Sources for Two Purposes

Solutions

To offer practical solutions such as the WaterProsper™
filtering system.

Education

To educate high school students, well owners, and the general public about water contaminants, sources of pollution, and health risks.

Education

WaterProsper’s™ team is determined to help people who experience daily the hardship of poisoned water and rapidly increasing incidence of disease, often accompanied by a degraded environment.

Through social media, word of mouth, personal outreach, and public forums, WaterProsper™ locates families who have had their tested water certified with a long list of contaminants. WaterProsper™ then arranges manufacturing, delivery, and assistance in the installation of the water filtration system.

WaterProsper™ is collaborating with other non-profit organizations to work with school districts to introduce water issues into the classroom. We sponsor student field trips to polluted stream remediation sites and visits to private well sites where students engage with water professionals and conduct ‘hands-on’ water sampling and testing for iron, magnesium, pH, and turbidity.

WaterProsper™ wants to engage the youth and inspire them to believe in their communities and help build social capital. It is important for them to become aware of water issues such as sources of contaminants, health issues, solutions, and the civics of building political advocacy and community empowerment.
